RELIABLE REPAIRS WITH MODERN EQUIPMENT

"For us, every MC (Moving Coil) is a valuable asset entrusted by our customers, requiring the utmost care and meticulous repair."

Connector breakage or casing damage can occur due to using incompatible cables, excessive force during handling, or plastic aging in older MC cartridges.

Restoration of Broken Connectors and Casings

  Repair Process for Broken Connectors

For cases of breakage, we prioritize restoring the original material whenever possible. High-end MC cartridges are often made from premium materials such as silver, silver-plated, or gold-plated components. We repair these using appropriate soldering materials (silver or gold alloy) and reinforce the structure with a durable core. After repair, measurements are conducted, and results typically show no noticeable difference compared to the original, unaltered component.

Tips for Maintenance:

  • Ensure that the connector size matches and is compatible with the cartridge.

  • Apply a small amount of anti-oxidation lubricant to prevent corrosion.

  • Avoid excessive force during installation; do not wiggle, twist, or pull forcefully. A gentle pull is sufficient.

         Repair Process for Casing Damage

Casing damage commonly occurs in MC cartridges that use adhesive to bond components. Over time, the adhesive can degrade, lose its strength, and even a small amount of force can cause breakage. Additionally, some cases involve accidental drops or improper installation, which may also result in broken signal wires (1-2 channels).

     Our restoration process includes:

  • Removing the old adhesive and thoroughly cleaning the affected areas.

  • Reassembling and realigning the components to ensure precision and structural integrity.

  • Applying new adhesive to securely bond the casing.

  • Performing detailed cleaning to restore the casing's appearance, ensuring it looks as good as new.

     Restoration Costs

The cost of restoration depends on the specific case, the time required for the repair, the complexity, and any replacement components needed. Typically, costs range from 40$-150$.

If additional issues are identified (e.g., broken signal channels, cantilever damage, or missing diamond tips), they will be addressed and charged separately. For particularly complex cases, direct consultation is required to agree on the approach and pricing.
