Coil Restoration and Repair (Rewind)

    When your stylus experiences coil issues and hasn’t been repaired elsewhere, we can restore it to its original condition. Often, we encounter cases where previous interventions have worsened the damage, such as using the wrong type of coil or improper repairs. Since each MC has unique construction and specifications, proper restoration requires the right components, experience, technical expertise, and equipment.

    If original restoration isn’t possible, we will rewind the coil according to the correct specifications for your MC. In some cases, upgrading to higher-quality materials (e.g., silver, gold) can provide even better performance than the original.

    We have a wide variety of coil wires and advanced equipment to meet all requirements. Over the years, we’ve restored numerous MC cartridges, ranging from standard to high-end models such as Koetsu, Ortofon, EMT, Dynavector, Lyra, Ikeda, ZYX, SPU, and even extremely challenging cases like Victor L1000.

    After completing the repair, the measurement process for this type of restoration is complex, involving multiple steps to ensure bandwidth, channel balance, and overall performance. Additionally, we take care to avoid any impact on other components, including the casing and housing, ensuring everything is in pristine condition when returned to you.
